Week 1 into our coed rec flag football league, and The Tight Ends muscled up to the Summer Slackers 18-0!

That’s right. It was a shutout.

Before I get too cocky, I have to say that I doubt it will be happening again soon.

We were the two newbies to the Monday night league.

I’ve rallied the Tight Ends and we’ve practiced together. The Summer Slackers are mostly free agents combined into one team.

Everyone else seemed seasoned veterans (as I eyed the earlier games, salivating over their delicious plays).

As Robbyn says, the Summer Slackers are a bunch of players who WANT to play flag football.

The Tight Ends? Eh, we weren’t busy on Monday night and decided what the heck.

But we rallied and took it to the house tonight.

Kyle with TD No. 1. I had the extra point conversion. Then Em with TD No. 2, and Brian with the extra point.

A special shoutout goes out to the ladies: CB, Em, D, Robbyn, Vanessa and Sara.

And then it was off to Bar Louie for a celebratory drink.
