I hit Bayshore a little after 7 this morning, and it was gorgeous outside.
The plan was to run Bayshore until Lifestyle’s opened up at 8 (even though my butt hurts from dragon boat practice yesterday).
It was a bit overcast and windy ahead of a cold front moving in today, which was perfect for my run.
Here were the highlights:
I saw a woman walking and proudly wearing a Xena: Warrior Princess T.
AY-YI-YI-YI-YI-YI-YI-YI-YI-YI-YI-YI-YI-YI-YI-YI-YI-YI!
Loved that show.
I must’ve run into five or six pooches during my run. I need to get me one of those.
Then there were the 79 Tampa police cruisers stationed in the median and off side streets, as well as patrolling the road, in search of speeders.
At one point, I saw four cars sandwiched between two police cars driving down the road. They all pulled over on the side of the road together with the police cruisers’ lights blazing.
I thought the cops had pulled over four drivers for speeding. No. It looked like they were all cops—plain-clothed in unmarked cars.
One even whistled at me.
It was an eventful morning.
