Because I can’t get enough of Spring Training, I hit the Rays-Tigers game at home today.
The boys in blue looked great out there.
Tampa Bay got on the board first and ended up winning 7-2.
Everyone was pumped.
The most action I saw was a fly ball that hit the back of the seat to my right. I was criticized for not going after it.
Hey, I was trying to protect my head.
The woman sitting next to me got up to avoid a black eye.
Yeah, we’re wimps.
It’s a game I won’t forget for a while. At least not until baseball burn (Spring Training farmer’s tan) calms down.
Kat and I roasted!
After the game, we headed to Bright House Networks Field for the Legends of Baseball Game.
I missed the best part: the home-run derby that Mike Alstott won.
Unfortunately, the A-train was not playing in the all-star game.
But it was a fab time anyway watching players like Mike Pittman and Micheal Spurlock of the Bucs, Wade Boggs, Zachery Ty Bryan of “Home Improvement” and a hottie from ”All My Children,” among others.
