Seems like it’s only a matter of time.
Practically everyone in my department at work has fallen ill within the past month. It ain’t pretty.
And I thought it was just the newsroom that sustained such a vicious cycle.
According to the Who Is Sick? Web site, of the 22 illnesses reported in the Tampa Bay area, 21 percent are experiencing a cough; 19 percent a runny nose; 17 percent a fever and muscle ache.
I can guarantee that more than 22 people in the Bay area are sick. And unfortunately there are much worse symptoms that aren’t being reported.
Amazingly, since running my crappy marathon nearly a month ago, I have managed to elude the death and famine sweeping the office.
OK, there is no famine. Not even close.
When you sit next to what we call the trough, you eat well. All day. Every day.
But diseases are running rampant, and it’s become a hostile work environment.
Not feeling well? Take this quiz to find out whether you should go to work.
And if you happen to have a get-up like this, please send it my way!
