Since Jan. 2003, our Everclean system has satisfied over 600 clients.
If there is any need for concern, it should be do to the fact that the HVAC industry does not tell the homeowner the whole SEER story.
When any industry experiences distructive technology the naysayers evolve to resist that permenant revolutionary change.
It happened with SELF CLEANING OVENS, SELF DEFROSTING REFRIGERATORS, MICROWAVES OVENS,HOME MEDIA and these increased the use of energy.
Everclean is about to change the HVAC industry, but with the added benifit of reduced energy consumtion, improved performance, increased equipment longevity, added convience, and as far as our clients are experiencing, purer healthier indoor air.

I had this product put into my house 16 months ago. Not only did the contractor test the air quality in my home before it was installed but they also checked it 3 months or so later. I got a full report from a company called air advice. I researched air advice and they seem to be on the up and up and there was no way that the contractor could have manipulated the results. The chemical count as well as the particles dropped below from what Air Advice recommends. At first I thought maybe Everclean Green and Air Advice were in cahoots but then I saw that in the back of my first report air advice recommends using all Honeywell products. I would recommend having your house tested. There website is http://www.airadvice.com

Speaking of snake oil - there’s the HVAC filter. The filter & A/C coil are among the biggest sources of indoor contaminates through bionesting of germs and allergens. Indoor air is more polluted than in the 1940’s. The EPA ranks indoor pollution among the top four environmental risks to public heath. The filter and dirty AC coil not only added to this problem, but also restrict system airflow – a major cause for the nation’s 89-million HVAC systems operating at 34% below efficiency rating, wasting 212 billion kWh of electricity. For facts, request the report through http://www.evercleangreen.com/, “Wasted Thinking, How Faulty Paradigms Waste Billions In Nation’s Heating-A/C.

Let me get this straight. The Everclean Green is installed in an HVAC system and you eliminate the need for a filter which saves energy. The filter is replaced by a “force field” of UV light and photocatalytic oxidation. This “invisible energy” vaporizes the germs, mold, dust and other particles normally captured by the filter.
I think the old adage: “if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is” applies in this case. The Evergreen Clean people provide no evidence that their product actually works. In fact other tests of UV light and photocatalytic oxidation have shown that they do not reduce particles in the air.
Until such proof is provided, homeowners would be wise to approach this product with skepticism.

The snake oil and its salesmen are not even worth commenting on at this point. The journalist’s lack of a BS detector is just sad. The lack of journalistic responsibility to do any proper research about the subject, its standards, claims or effects of the undisclosed technology etc etc etc is appalling. If I made a claim that my new product that travels down the road from point A to point B, was not called a car so it did not have to be crash tested.... well, this subject would have been reported on completely different. The writer would have researched safety standards, industry standards and rules/laws surrounding the subject. Then even possibly consulted various mechanics or engineers. You see where I am going I hope.

so will i still use a filter
can the effectiveness be measured someway? upstream and downstream particulant count perhaps
is the product listed and approved with any agencies?
my wife has had total respitory arrest so I am looking at the claims of this product w/ interest
looks alot like pco device with uv to me which is already avaiable from other manufactures but they don’t make these remarkable claims about not need a filter

MERV rating not needed for Everclean Green. The problem with MERV rated filters is they severely restrict system airflow, increasing energy consumption, but also a medium for bionesting of germs that’s spread into home. The same for the bionesting at the dark, damp A/C coil. Everclean Green is not a filter, but an advanced force field of invisable energy eliminating need for an HVAC filter completely. Yet, it eliminates the largest source of indoor allergens, germs, toxins and house dust, freeing up system airflow and improving energy efficiency - system becomes “Self-Cleaning.” No need to worry about cleaning or replacing a dirty filter. I could be wrong, but since it is not a filter i dont know how it could have a merv rating.
