Early in the shopping season, my Tampa Tribune column urged folks to shop with returns in mind. A survey by the National Retail Federation shows 88.6 percent of consumers found return policies to be fair. Make sure you know what they are to avoid an extended holiday hassle.

Sept. 24, Littia called Vontage inquiring about their phone service.
Within two hours from the call we decided the service was too complicated for us. Littia Email the co.3 times 9/24, and asked the service to be cancelled. 9/27 Vonage emailed us stating the box had been mailed out. It
arrived at our door 9/29.
Now we are being told that we owe $42.79 to Vonage plus shipping & handling of the box. Is there any recourse for us or do we have to pay this? Thanks for addressing this matter.
