It was last year when the Rays and Dunkin’ Donuts began their ”Rays Win, You Win” promotion. Whenever the Rays win a home or road game, fans can stop at a participating Dunkin’ Donuts and get a free doughnut by mentioning that the team won the day before.

Word on the street is that more doughnuts have been given away during the first half of this season than the entire 2007 season.

Monday’s win put the Rays (50-32) 1½ games over the second-place Red Sox.
