I hit the Rays-Tigers game Saturday night at the Trop where a game ticket included a free concert by LL Cool J.

The Rays landed a 9-3 win over the Tigers in front of a sellout crowd, the second in a three-game weekend sweep.

You could say Raymond was pumped!

Others were pumped over the B.J. Upton collectible. That’s a whole other ballgame.

I was ready to see LL after missing an opportunity to meet him last year. He was supposed to swing through the Bay area to promote his “LL Cool J’s Platinum Workout.”

Ladies, I couldn’t wait to get some tips. Then he canceled.

But I got to see him perform live Saturday night. He was getting some lovin’ as he brought practically half the crowd onstage.

I wouldn’t have been as disappointed in the less-than-an-hour performance if he had just bared the six-pack.
