Ralph Lauren has apologized for digitally turning a slim model into an appalingly thin one. The fashion stalwart made the models head dwarf her midsection.
The image of the anorexic model was nothing short of revolting when it was featured on an Internet blog last month with the caption: ‘Dude, her head’s bigger than her pelvis.’
Ralph Lauren has come clean and said she had been photoshopped into looking like a hot mess!!!
Now, Ralph Lauren has been in the fashion business for a very long time. He should know that this kind of thin isn’t in and never will be. This kind of thin needs more than a sandwhich; It requires medical attention. So it does make me wonder if it was done for publicity. I mean, everyone (including me) is talking about it. And any publicity is good publicity, right?
A spokesman for Ralph Lauren said the problem has been addressed and the fashion house is moving forward and will take precautions to make sure the brand is properly represented.
I say enough with the photoshopping. Let’s let women look like women (unless there’s a zit involved, of course).
