I love doing Weekend Eats on Mondays, partly because I get to see a lot of seasonal cooking.
Like that cool thing in the photo above.
My Twitter friend @SRowl made a bread mummy with a spinach dip in the stomach region. How cool is that???
You don’t get mummy-shaped food other times of the year. And if you do, you really shouldn’t eat it. Just say, “No thanks, I’ll wait until Halloween.

Jodi Fritch - Brown Butter Sauteed Apple Crepes topped with fresh ricotta. Devoured too quickly for #foodporn.
Shirley Steele - Soft shell crab sandwich at the Fish House in Ruskin..delicious! Also Rum pumpkin bread from the weekend market at the corner of Shell Point/ 41.
