The Today Show revealed a dirty little secret this morning: How some retailers put used underwear back on the shelves. That’s nasty with a capital N!
With a hidden camera, a reporter showed how store employees at Macy’s, Victoria’s Secret, Gap, Nordstrom and other stores put returned underwear back on the shelf to resell them. Even when the underwear was returned with the plastic sleeve removed, or came back with a stain (they stained some with baby oil) employees still retagged and hung them back on the racks—many as soon as it was returned.
And guess what? It’s not against the law to sell used underwear.
To be on the safe side, ALWAYS wash new undergarments before wearing. You can watch the video here: http://video.ca.msn.com/watch/video/retailers-caught-selling-used-lingerie/17ybpv6ev
