The Tight Ends had another humbling game Monday night, this time against Uncensored.
After a productive practice Saturday, we were feeling confident. OK, maybe I wouldn’t go that far.
But we scrimmaged and worked on our plays. Everyone ran their routes well. Our defense wasn’t bad.
I worked on fattening up my knuckles. Every week, I jam a new finger, which results in bruising and swelling. It takes talent.
Uncensored includes Carly, who organizes our flag football league. I wasn’t sure what to expect on the field.
Their QB was on injured reserve, so they called in a backup (who was playing in the game after ours—so this was just a warm-up for him).
We couldn’t get our offense going, while Uncensored played smarter. We threw three interceptions, while Uncensored played a clean game. We wasted our few male plays on little yardage.
Despite it all, we played much better as a team. We’re starting to gel.
The final? 23-8.
