Michelle Obama On The Cover Of Vogue:  Why Does She Scare Us So?

Whoa:  Why all the hatin’ with the March Vogue cover comments?

Personally, we’re so tired of the same recycled fashion mag celeb covers that any change is welcome (seriously, how many more times can we look at the weird Photoshopped faces of Drew/Kate/Scarlett/Jenn/Jennifer/ Kiera/Gwyneth/blah blah BLAH without wanting to hurl? )

Forget the fact that her husband is a socialist (haha just kidding!!..but not really…oops, sorry, back to fashion!); there’s no question that the new First Lady is quite intimidating on her own.

For one thing, she’s tall,  slim-waisted and large-hipped.  And if that’s not the ultimate physical embodiment of female power and fertility, we don’t know what is.

Plus,  she’s got those evil-looking archy eyebrows.

In fact, she looks like she could have been one of those mean girls who hung out in the bathroom in our middle school and terrorized the sixth graders just by looking at them. (Nancy Reagan might have been our crankiest First Lady, but, c’mon, she always looked like you could snap those narrow little shoulders like a twig at any moment, are we right?).

Yep, even without the politics, Michelle Obama kind of scares the stuffing out of us.

So we can’t blame her for trying to look relatively harmless at the inauguration by wearing drapes for the swearing-in (hey, it worked for Scarlett!)

and a TP-rolled dress at the ball.

And we also can’t blame Vogue for trying to change things up for once, especially with Conde Nast taking a hatchet to so many of its other magazines.
(We’re still so spitting mad about the demise of Domino that we can’t even talk about it anymore—UGH!)...
