Penny’s a Nurture And Hold (NAH): Nah, I won’t pull that out yet, it’s still got a green shoot. She likes dragonflies, lady bugs and new stuff only after weeding, pruning and fertilizing.
Kim’s a Want It Now (WIN): Everything pretty, everything now. She will resort to full-spectrum insecticides in desperate situations, and believes it’s her duty and right to buy new plants every weekend.
Both advocate Plant Choice (SOMEthing besides crotons. Please!), lots of color and low maintenance. We don’t agree on everything, but we’re smart enough to learn from each other - and from you.

Bird cages are to Chip Fulp what gnomes are to other gardeners. He collects interesting old cages from all over the place—well, his wife and daughter do. They’ve snagged him some real gems at yard sales and flea markets.
He sent photos of a few of his cages hard at work. Look close and you’ll see most have a low-maintenance “bird” or two roosting.

When I seen that first bird cage at the Flea market I knew exactly what I wanted to do with them!

Chip, it could never be said that your yard is boring! Quite a nice variety of backyard baubles. Are those purple petunias in the last photo? I haven’t seen those yet this year…

How fun. I think my fave, so far, is the heart shaped one. Too cute, Chip.
