Ladies, it’s time to banish uncomfortable undies for good

Survey Finds Most American Women own Underwear they Refuse to Wear

I’ve got undies in my drawers I haven’t worn in years. I don’t know why I don’t throw them away, but I don’t. Most of them dig into my flesh, pinch my skin or ride up into crevices they have no business going into. And frankly, there’s nothing like buying a fabulous dress or slacks and wearing them over ill-fitting underwear. Trust me, it’s noticeable and it’s wrong! It’s not just important to your fashion sense, it’s important to you sanity.

A new survey by Jockey International, Inc. says that women are desperately in need of comfortable undies. The survey reveals more than half (57%) of American women have underwear in their drawers that they have not worn in the last year. And it’s not just one pair they shy away from. Nearly three in five (59%) admit to having up to six pairs of underwear they haven’t slipped on in the last 12 months. When you tally that up, it means that hundreds of millions of pairs of drawers are just sitting in your drawers.

The top reason for dissing the knicker drawer? Comfort. Eighty four percent of ladies say comfort is the most important underwear feature. I would have to agree.

The folks at Jockey are helping solve the ill-fitting underwear dilemma one panty at a time. The underwear giant has introduced a new collection of undies called the Supersoft collection designed to give the wearer all-day comfort. The undies are made from a light material called MicroModal and spandex fabrication, which feels softer than cotton and is cool to the touch, they say.

To celebrate comfortable underwear, Jockey will be giving away free Supersoft undies.  Follow @Jockey for more on the Supersoft Twitter promotion launching June 16 and get your free pair of undies.
