Tonight it was The Press v. Balls of Fury (our fave opponent on the kickball field).
The Balls are like my surrogate team—I played for them back in week 3½. Heck, Sam played for us in week 1.
We had a lot of fun in seven innings.
Balls catcher Heather secretly cheered for me when I was up to kick.
Balls cheerleader Dave had terrific toe-touches for every one of his teammates.
And Jim actually made a few calls in our favor finally.
I played catcher for The Press, which gave me ample opportunity to make friends with the players from Tampa Bay Surgery Center. I like ‘em.
But the truth is, The Press rocked tonight! We didn’t make mistakes and we kept our cool.
That’s right. We got to add one to the win column tonight with a 7-4 victory.
That brings our record to 3-and-4.
