I wish I weren’t intimate with the 20-run mercy rule in kickball, but you’ve got to get over it.

I mean, it’s kickball.

I will say that The Press have definitely improved each week since we lost 20-0. The Krewe annihilated us, handing us our balls on a silver platter.

In a strange twist of city kickball fate, we played the Krewe again tonight—the third time in four weeks.

Did we win? Nope.

Did we perform better? Yep.

Did we have fun out there? You better believe it.

We lost a much more respectable 10-6 game, but we played hard.

We mixed it up, putting only girls in the infield. I was hesitant, but we rocked.

And we made a lot fewer errors this week.

I went 1-for-2 and caught an out as shortstop.
