Its so nice when you realize that we are nothing more than lumps of clay that the master molds and shapes to his liking. While not one of us is perfect, we are all masterpieces. It doesn’t matter if your overweight, underweight, crippled, blind , or deaf. In someones eyes we are all beautiful. In order to succeed in any challenge in life you have to do 3 things. 1st and above all trust God and know that He is in total control so let go and let God. 2nd, you have to love yourself enough to allow the victory that awaits you to unfold. Visualize it, believe it, and go get it. 3rd, be patient. Things worth waiting for don’t usually happen overnight. I think that I became desperate for the pounds to fall off in chunks as I have always been a very competitive person. I think also that I have focused too much on the word “challenge”. This is no longer a challenge against 5 other people, I don’t think it ever was. The real challenge for me is staying the course. My 5 co-losers are fantastic people and I wont spend my energy trying to compete with them because we all have similar challenges in life and are all in this together, so all I can say now is go team go!
So now after a beautiful weekend of fellowship with my brothers and sisters in Christ, I go into this final month of shared victory with my comrades with a firm grasp of I’m still large...but God is still in charge. Father mold me in any way you see fit. I accept it and cherish your will...In Christ...Marty G.

Marty,
Now you have the secret to success! I was so proud to see you eat salad and soup at a restaurant like OG. Just remember, if you gain a pound or two, it will come right back off the same way. We ALL hit milestones that we cannot wrangle off of but somehow with new faith and knowledge, we manage to get past those stones in the sand. One word I want to leave you with is portion control. (OK 2 words)
God Bless and we love you greatly.

Brother Marty
YES YES YES… BELIEVE it and you will see it. As the song says “That’s the way God planned it” and another song said “The long and winding road”. His words are everywhere it is great. Marty you are a beautiful spirit. I told Pat this morning I was going out to talk to the plants in our garden as usual. She told me she was going out to listen to them!!! The messages are are everywhere. You are doing great brother.
With Peace and Love

Ahhhh...patience. I know I want it, but I want it NOW! And I know that’s how you feel about this weight loss, but remember your own words to give God the control and BE PATIENT and all your goals will be achieved. You just have to keep putting your faith and effort into practice and He will bless you and you will see all the weight come off if that’s truly your desire.
Aside from the weight you’ve lost, I thank God for the faith you’ve gained and inspired so many others with. You’re awesome!
I love you,
Deb
