You are what you eat.
And that’s why I’m so glad I found the Grass Root Organic Restaurant. Yes, it’s all organic vegan fare.
I know what you’re thinking. ”That’s way too healthy for me. It must taste like cardboard.”
And that’s where you’re wrong.
I recently enjoyed an amazing dinner with a pal at the cozy and relaxed eatery at 2702 N. Florida Ave. It’s where you’ll find Sabrina and Spencer, the duo behind the amazing cuisine and quaint ambiance.
They take credit for each and every vegan and raw/living creation served. They’re all original recipes.
On the menu:
Raw & Living items include Live Spaghetti and Marinara with Treatballs, Marrakesh (raw hummus with live sprouts and veggies) and Raw Burrito.
I was considering the House Burger (with a strip of bac-un and raw cashew cheese) from the sandwich list, but it was 69’d.
Entrees include Chili Non-Carne and Jerk or BBQ Drumstix.
In the end, we had the Guacamole & Chips appetizer, the Falafel and Vegan Parmesan entrees and the amazing Sweet Potato Pie (raw) for dessert.
For less than $40, it was amazing! In fact, I can’t wait to go back again.
