I Could Get Used To This

Even if I had brought my lunch today (which I did not), there was no way I was going to stay cooped up in the office all day and let this day pass me by!

The first indication was the coolness that embraced us as we boarded mom’s bus for the ride to school. “Is it winter now?” my youngest asked.  “I’m cold!”

I assured her it wouldn’t stay the positively frigid 69 degrees that it currently was and she didn’t need to go inside and change.

By lunchtime I was practically chomping at the bit to get outside and make that walk down the block.

Mother Nature did not let me down.

It seems a little weird to be eating my same old (see below) salad and watermelon for lunch, pot roast and apple cobbler seems more appropriate for the weather, but old habits are hard to break.
