Higher ed in for a rough session

USF’s faculty union is taking donations for campaign contributions. Student groups are trying to muster crowds to go to Tallahassee.
They’ve heard higher ed is going to be in trouble when the Legislature begins its session in January, and it’s true, based on an interview today with Senate President Mike Haridopolos.
Talking to the Tampa Tribune editorial board, he said the budget deficit is huge and higher ed funds will probably be slashed.
