Group accepting donations for troops

Community Service Council of West Pasco is accepting donations for the 2010 Operation Shoebox project through Sept. 9.  Donations will be shipped to service men and women currently overseas serving in the United States military. You can donate cash—for postage fees—hygiene and snack items like Twizzlers, Fruit Breezes, Heat Resistant Candy, Mouthwash, Toothbrushes & Toothpaste, Instant Coffee, Creamer, Powdered Drink mixes, Tea Mixes, Condiments (Mustard & Ketchup), Granola Bars, Oatmeal (instant), Pop Tarts, Ravioli (pop tops), Deodorant and small board games like checkers and chess.
