Here’s one back-to-school expense you can check off your list: a hair cut. Remington College-Tampa Campus is offering free haircuts for kids until August 20.
Parents can bring in children age 17 and under and one of the students will cut their hair. The students will be supervised by an instructor, so you don’t have to worry about them looking like Justin Beiber on the first day of school (unless they want to).
Last year, the campus provided more than 150 complimentary haircuts over the summer.
Parents can make an appointment by calling the Salon at Remington at 813-316-4470, or you can just walk in. Salon hours are 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday.
Adults who bring a child in for a cut will get 50 percent off select services for themselves, so they can get a little pampering while they wait.
The Salon at Remington College is located at 6302 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Suite 400 in Tampa.
