Smart and sexy is our only hope.
That’s what Bruce Mau says, and he’s coming to the University of South Florida next week.
Who’s Bruce Mau? He runs a Chicago studio that promotes itself as a place that uses “design and optimism to originate, innovate and renovate businesses, brands, products and experiences.”
He’s written a book called “Massive Change.”
His clients include Coca-Cola, McDonald’s and MTV.
Some of his personal rules:
Love your experiments (as you would an ugly child).
Don’t clean your desk.
Make new words.
And he’s on a quest to answer two questions:
Now that we can do anything, what will we do? What if life itself becomes a design project?
Mau is speaking to the public at 7 a.m. on Thursday at USF Theatre I, and to students and faculty at 10 a.m. on Friday at USF Theatre II.
