Wake up. Throw on some clothes. Get out to the barn.
The animals need to be fed and watered. Need to make sure they're OK, and relatively happy.
Cows, chickens, rabbits, pigs: Champions in training can be demanding.

Being the best isn't easy. But it's what drives these teens - that, and their animals.

These are of Cleopatra. The first one is of her when I first got her in October. She is checking out her new home.
The second one is of Cleo at Christmas. As you can see, she has grown a lot since I first bought her.
I go to the barn usually twice a day to work with her, clean out her cage, make sure she has enough feed and let her out so she can get some excersise. She knows when I come in as she nudges at the gate and gets up if she is laying down the minute she hears my voice.
I really love to work with animals and do not like to see any of them hurt. That is one reason I want to become a vet. I know it will take a lot of hard work on my part, and I am going to try very hard to make good grades and get into college.
