There are lots of boutiques in the area that specialize in vintage. But Buffalo Gal Vintage is worth a trip across the bay for Tampa residents.
Owner Desiree Sheridan offers gently-worn pieces of history that make you feel like your rummaging through a best friends closet - one with impeccable taste.
Peacots, silk party dresses, sweaters and jumpsuits; Sheridan’s got em” She’s also got plenty of costume jewerly, purses, belts and shoes to create a complete - and very fashionable - time-capsule experience. And if that’s not enough, check out her kitchy kitchen room where you’ll find “Hot Holders,” table covers, antique decorations and kitchy giftsf for the hard-to-find recipient on your list.
And there’s none of that weird mildewey, moth balls, part-who-knows-what “vintage smell” old clothes can sometimes acquire. Buffalo Gal Vintage drycleans every piece and stocks only good-smelling duds in in top condition for the discerning vintage shopper.
And Sheridan makes customers feel right at home with a with a hearty, “Welcome maam.’” The store is located at 1219 MLK Jr. St. N. in St. Petersburg.
Buffalo Gal Vintage has given me a reason to head across the bay. Be sure to check out the picture gallery from “Clothing Swap.” It was a real blast!
