I just heard from our friends at Florida Blood Services who tell me that the July 4th Holiday Blood Drive was a big success. FBS gave out $10 gass cards to everyone who donated blood July 1st through July 6th. I’m told it was their best turn out ever for a holiday blood drive. Thanks to everyone who helped fuel the blood supply by giving a pint to get some gallons. Summer traditionally sees a drop in donations because of vacations and school not being in session. High school students are the biggest donor group in the greater Tampa Bay area. Donors are still needed as the dog days of summer drag on. Please consider blood donation. News Channel 8 is hosting a blood mobile on Thursday, July 10th. I plan to roll up my sleeves, won’t you?
