By popular demand, I am moving this up higher in the blog. We recently took advantage of the Limited Too, Publix and Krispy Kreme offers. Any others you might want to call first.
If your child had an excellent grading period and you’d like to reward them with more than a big hug and pat on the back, you can now do it with no impact on your wallet!
Several businesses now offer incentives for kids to strive for great grades:
- If you bring in the report card with the mailing address United Skates will send the child a free pass for skating for every A they receive.
- Q-Zar (a fun laser-tag gaming place) offers kids with Straight As a free game and children with good report cards, but not all As a discounted game. Check them out!
- If your child has As and Bs OR perfect attendance, they can get in free (and parents only pay $7!) at the Florida Aquarium. This offer is good for up to 30 days after they get their grades.
- Limited Too “fun fashion for tweens” gives kids a $5 store credit toward a purchase (any purchase) for a great report card.
- ** UPDATE ** Publix Supermarkets will give kids certificates for goodies. I used to be more specific in this listing, but it seems to vary by location and who you get at the customer service desk.
- Chuck E Cheese offers free tokens with a food purchase for As, Bs and Cs.
Celebration Station also offers free tokens.
- My girls enjoyed breakfast from Krispy Kreme this past Sunday courtesy of their wonderful report cards. The chain rewards kids with a donut for each A they get on their report card, up to 6 per child.
- Kids can also continue to keep earning over summer break with the website Bookadventure.org. Children can read selected books and take quizzes on them to earn points redeemable for prizes.
- If your kid’s grades aren’t that great, but they are super citizens and just all-around great people, you can still sign them up for a free ice cream on their birthday at Cold Stone Creamery.
