Bring It! - With Patty Kim

A Hit At Al Lang

Work was pretty brutal today.

My task: Attend Moffitt‘s Spring Swing event at the Rays-Reds Spring Training game today.

It was the last Rays game to be played at Al Lang Field. Next year, the team will move to a remodeled ballpark in Port Charlotte.

It was gorgeous outside, and I enjoyed every second of it.

Very different from the first Mole Patrol I attended where it was in the mid-60s with wind gusts of 20-plus mph. Brrr!

We screened a Spring Swing record of 102 people before the game.

That included me. Again. This time without the long sleeves and jeans.

That birthmark I’ve always had on my hip raised the doc’s suspicions because it has an irregular border and there is some pigmentation in the middle. He recommends I visit the dermatologist for a biopsy. :-O

He also asked me about two small moles on my toes. One I’ve always had; the other I’ve had for a few years.

I have to get those checked out, too.

You could say that my screening today was a bit more, um, thorough than my first. (The doc definitely saw my undies!)

After passing out sunscreen and helping the Mole Patrol, I got to enjoy the big game. Unfortunately the Rays fell to the Reds 6-3.

If you happen to be at the Rays-Reds game in Sarasota on Saturday, look for the Mole Patrol in front of Ed Smith Stadium. Screenings start at 11, and the game gets under way at 1:05.
