While we count down the hours until our midnight screening of “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull,” let’s take an informal survey. In the comments, pick your favorite of the following pop culture treasure hunters:

Indiana Jones from “Raiders of the Lost Ark”

Lara Croft of “Tomb Raider” fame

Pitfall Harry from the classic Activision video game “Pitfall!”

The martini-drinking stick-figure guy from “The Kingdom of Loathing”

 
For me, it’s a tough call. I mean, they all have their charms. Pitfall Harry was the originator. Indy is just plain cool. Lara Croft boasts an impressive pair of (wait for it ...) dual semi-automatic pistols. And the KoL guy can battle a sabre-toothed lime without spilling his drink. I just can’t decide.
