There are no doubt a few (dozen) worthy albums I either didn’t hear, didn’t hear about or never got around to this year. However, there were several I did hear and these are the ones I wouldn’t object to hearing again. In no particular order:

Sonic Youth, “The Eternal”
Dagner Mouse, “Dark Night of the Soul”
Os Mutantes, “Haih ... ou Amortcedor”
Jeffrey Lewis & the Junkyard, “‘Em Are I”
Flaming Lips, “Embryonic”
Green Day, “21st Century Breakdown”
Pearl Jam, “Backspacer”
Cheap Trick, “The Latest”
Future of the Left, “Travels With Myself and Another”
Ian Hunter, “Man Overboard”
Wye Oak, “The Knot”
Avett Brothers “I and Love and You”
White Denim, “Fits”
The Slits, “Trapped Animal”
Gemma Ray, “Lights Out Zoltar!”
Them Crooked Vultures, “Them Crooked Vultures”
Akron/Family, “Set ‘Em Wild, Set ‘Em Free”
Mastodon, “Crack the Skye”
The Decmberists, “The Hazards of Love”
Antony & the Johnsons, “The Crying Light”
Dex Romweber Duo, “Ruins of Berlin”
Jason Isbell & the 400 Unit, “Jason Isbell & the 400 Unit”
Jay-Z, “The Blueprint 3”
