While the weather still hovers in the 80s, it is a good time to get out and get some exercise with your family. Little ones may not be much for distance running (better at short sprints down hallways near glass knick-knacks, it seems). Some dads may not be the best roller-bladers. Moms may not be up for skateboarding…
But biking seems to be something the whole tribe can do.
Especially if you bike a surrey.
A surrey is a specially equipped multi-passenger bike, perfect for sightseeing and casual wheeled “strolls.”
You can rent them at the St. Pete Pier or Fort DeSoto beach locally. Both locations have their charms. At the pier there is alot to see and do. At the beach you can cool off with a swim right afterwards.
A single surrey, shown above, can accommodate tow adults and a small child and only costs $18 for an hour of biking.
A double can accommodate 4, plus a small child and is $25.
