A complete non-sequitur…

I was browsing the Lowry Park Zoo website today (looking for admission bargains for you!) when I came across the ”Name the baby hippo” page.

Curious what options there were for something that looks like a bag of wet cement (ah, don’t look at me that way, you know it’s ugly) I clicked on the link.

I was surprised and delighted to see that my childhood nickname “Nini” was one of the choices! Who knew that meant “strong as stone” in some African language? I don’t think that’s what my family was thinking, more like “this is a silly short version of Janine.”

At any rate, I did find a discount. September 26 & 27, ZooBoo is discounted quite a bit. Just $12 for both adults and children. Regular admission the rest of the special event run is $14 for children and $17 for adults.
