The Tampa Museum of Art presents “Sound Effects,” the first in a series of exhibitions and concerts inspired by music, at tonight’s Art After Dark event. “Sound Effects” explores the love affair between music and art through sculptures, installations, paintings, photos and a host of other works.
Connected to the festivities is Jeremy Gloff who will celebrates his 15th studio album “1987” with an album release party and performance at Crowbar Saturday, Sept. 20 as part of SoundFX: Live. The album drops Sept. 23.
His people say “1987” is an up-tempo 13-song record inspired by 80s dance music. The single “Lights On” debuted in March 2008.
Related Sound Effects events will take place for two weeks following TMA’s kick-off. Information about the series of events can be found on their MySpace Page. Sound Effects is produced and hosted by Mitzi Gordon.
