...makes the world go ‘round, right? Certainly those are some of the key components of the following two novels released this month.
Christine Feehan, the “queen of paranormal romance” (according to her press materials), has released the latest in her “Carpathian” novels, Dark Curse. This time around, Lara searches for the source of her nightmares with the help of Nicolas De La Cruz, with whom she is developing some, ah, sparks. Quite a few, actually, with the occasional flame. Expect the usual combination of action, thrills and sensuality.
In Webs of Power, Darlene Quinn writes about the retail industry in the 1980s. Or, according to the press materials, she offers “a raw, unsentimental portrayal of greed, manipulation and relationships set in the excessive, insatiable retail industry of the 1980s.” Man, the 80s were great like that. This novel follows the story of three women whose lives are changed by the hostile takeover of a retail giant.
