Here are some nice shots taken from the Davis Islands bridge, looking down on Bayshore Blvd.
And from the department of random, on our live video stream, I just heard some band belting out the INXS song “What You Need.” Someone else must be a child of the 80s.

I thought Gayle Guayardo was acting very odd too...I thought it was my imagination. Was it confirmed that she was drunk? You’d think the good folks at Channel 8 would have removed her from embarrassing Bill Ratliff and everyone else watching at home. In my line of work, you get fired for being intoxicated on the job, especially as a parade anchor during a major annual event. VERY poor judgment Gayle…

Personally, I think the viewers at home got the better show this year. It was abundantly clear that Gayle was trashed on the air. Why leave her on??? That was an embarrassment.

Our all adult marching band came all the way from Oregon to participate in this parade. It was a lot of fun and we are crazy enough to fit right in. I can’t quite figure out why we were last in the line up? We certainly travelled the fatherist and we should have been treated as guests. Thanks for the great hospitality Tampa!
