Atmosphere is ready to “Paint The Nation” with a 50-city U.S. tour in support of their new album, “When Life Gives You Lemons, You Paint That S*** Gold.”
They stop at the State Theatre on Oct. 2. Special tour guests include Abstract Rude, Blueprint and DJ Rare Groove.
If you don’t know, Atmosphere is made up of the indie underground hip-hop emcee and producer team to put the Twin Cities on the map some 11-years ago. “Lemons” is Slug and Ant’s sixth studio album and is comprised of fictional narratives that deal with societal issues and mostly revolve around the theme of fatherhood.
“This time around I really did force myself to try and write these stories as if I was writing a book or short stories and just trying to figure out how to put them into music,” Slug said in a release.
Accompanying the album release was a 40-page hard cover book that includes a children’s story by Slug, done in part to celebrate his growth as a writer.
Tickets are $19 and are available by calling (727) 895-3045.
