Vampires and werewolves are hot this year. Home Box Office’s fang fest “True Blood” sucked up 6.1 million viewers on Sunday when with two airings of the third season debut.
The first showing drew 5.1 million viewers and the replay that followed had 1.3 million for a total of 6.4 million on the night.
HBO reports that the premiere audience was up 38% from last June’s season two debut, which averaged 3.7 million viewers and was up 19% compared to the series’ season two average of 4.3 million, according to HBO officials.
