Overnight Nielsen ratings for the Tampa-St. Petersburg market indicate nearly 400,000 viewers watched President Obama’s short address Tuesday night that was carried on local broadcast outlets and Bay News 9.
The speech on the BP Oil disaster was carried on CBS affiliate WTSP (114,202 viewers) , NBC affiliate WFLA (97,703 viewers); ABC affiliate WFTS (71,931) Fox affiliate WTVT (50,017); Bay News 9 (27, 955); and Sarasota ABC affiliate WWSB (23, 937).
These ratings do not include Tampa area viewers who were watching it on CNN, MSNBC or Fox News Channel.
