More Celebrity Rehab With Rodney King and Gary Busey

Rodney King will appear in the next installment of VH1’s “Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew.”

The show features famous people dealing with drug and alcohol problems aided by celebrity addiction specialist Dr. Drew Pinsky.

King, whose 1991 beating by Los Angeles police led to deadly rioting the next year, prompting him to make a famously earnest plea for peace, will appear with actor Jeff Conaway, former Guns ‘N Roses drummer Steven Adler, Rod Stewart’s son Sean and actress Tawny Kitaen.

Gary Busey, who reportedly is 13 years sober from his cocaine addiction, will also be joining the cast to share his experiences on the recovery process. He’s sober? So then he just acts crazy?

The new season is slated to premiere in October, the network said.

Conaway was on the first season along with Tampa’s troubled former “American Idol” runner-up Jessia Sierra.

Sierra had wanted to be a part of this sequel but she’s under a court order to stay at least 100 yards from microphones and cameras.

Sierra is on probation for battery and cocaine possession, after two arrests last year stemming from alcohol related incidents in Ybor City.
