It’s a commercial pairing so laden with double-entendres that the mind reels. The mugs of masked rockers Kiss are being imprinted on M&Ms candies.
Like Kiss’ new album, “Sonic Boom,” the custom candy packages are available only at Wal-Mart. No word on weight but the four bags, bearing the greasepaint visages of Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, Tommy Thayer (Ace Frehley’s replacment) and Eric Singer (Peter Criss’ replacement) will sell for $6.
M&Ms’ parent company, Mars Inc., is touting the candy as a collector’s item. How one keeps an item which will, despite the ad’s claims, eventually melt in your hand as well as your mouth remains unexplained.
