Stephen Hammill and Rommie Johnson - Couch Potatoes

Kids Don’t Like CDs. Duh.

Some stuff today:

* According to a new study, 48% of teenagers bought no CDs at all in 2007, up from 38% in 2006.

* Meanwhile, iTunes has leapfrogged Best Buy to become the world’s #2 music seller behind Wal-Mart.

* You can play a boatload of classic and not-at-all-classic Nintendo titles as free flash games here. The fact that somebody bothered to re-code the original NES “Ghostbusters” game boggles the mind.

* In addition to Rommie, the fantastic Yahtzee went to GDC. We’re big fans of his. Check out his round up here.

Who are the Couch Potatoes?
  • Master Sergeant in 'Rainbow Six: Vegas'ROMMIE JOHNSON is a standard carbon-based lifeform who covers entertainment for TBO.com and the Tribune as an occasional diversion from the maelstrom of doubt that boils within.

  • And, yes, he gets paid for this. Which is a good thing, because his parents are raising the rent.
