Joan Jett will discuss her commitment to animal causes with host Duncan Strauss on “Talking Animals,” at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 7 on WMNF, 88.5 FM.
Jett not only has a new “Greatest Hits” album out, she’s the executive producer of the film, “The Runaways,” which opens in Tampa Friday. It’s a bio-pic about the all-girl band she formed as a teenager, and stars Dakota Fanning as Runaways’ singer Cherie Currie and Kristen Stewart as Jett.
Jett’s extra-musical activities include animal advocacy causes, which she’ll discuss on “Talking Animals.” Will she address the dichotomy of being a leather-wearing vegetarian? Or has she swapped cowhide for Naugahyde? Tune in and hear.
“Talking Animals” features animal-related music, comedy and interviews. It airs on the first and second Wednesday of each month on listener-supported radio station WMNF.

Jett’s interview will stream live on the Web site.
