I don’t hide my love for Microsoft’s Halo franchise. Apparently, I’m not the only one with a fondness for Master Chief. Ok, maybe they just like cash – but according to a Variety report, Universal and 20th Century Fox will bring Halo to the big screen in the summer of 2007. It’ll likely be a tentpole release for Universal, which is distributing the movie stateside.
Bungie, the creator of Halo, and parent company Microsoft have been looking out for their cash cow, having already commissioned scribe Alex Garland (28 Days Later, The Beach) to craft a script that fits with the original vision of the franchise.
Although Microsoft won’t have full creative control, they will be working directly with the studios to make sure the movie doesn’t turn into the newest Lindsay Lohan vehicle.
It is likely that Microsoft will coincide the release of the yet-to-be-announced Halo 3 for the Xbox 360 with the film’s release that summer.

I have a few questions. I have been trying to find the mailing address for the creator of halo 2, Alex Seropian, is who I have found. And I cannot, what so ever, find his mailing address or any way to contact him. So if there is a way, will you please email me and let me know if there is a way to contact him. It is for a school project, Composition to be exact, and we are to write to someone famous or who we admire or look up to, and I am one girl who is more than obsessed with halo. I would love to show my appreciation to him for making the game. So like I said, please inform me if there is a way possible to contact Alex.
