The top 10 winners will receive a small 10-by-10-inch plot of the island where “Lost” is produced, placed in a “Lost”-themed ornate pot, limited and numbered only to 10. The authenticity of the plot of land will be obtained and documented by a DVD video that is included with the prize, produced by Kos Tours of Hawaii, who specializes in tours of famous “Lost” locations.

The contest was inspired by the DVD “LOST: Unraveling the Mystery,” a documentary that takes viewers on an unauthorized, interactive journey, with hardcore fans discussing and celebrating the aura and excitement of the TV show.

“The DVD also includes a cool interactive game, inspired by the mysteries of ‘Lost,’ ” says DVD game producer Richard Halpern. “Being a passionate gamer myself, we wanted to create a contest that would stir up controversy and bend peoples minds in the way ‘Lost’ does, and then cap this off by giving them a prize they will never forget.”

The contest runs through the series’ third episode, which will air Feb. 16.
