It seems like everything on the Fox News Channel beats its cable news rivals.
Now comes word that Fox News’ “Fox & Friends” marked a milestone in February by notching 100 consecutive months as the No. 1 morning program on cable news, according to Nielsen Media Research.
Nielsen data indicates that the morning show was the only cable news program to post year-to-year growth over last year, beating MSNBC, CNN and HLN in total viewers and in the 25-54 demographic during the three-hour morning block.
It led all cable news morning programs with an average of 1,132,000 viewers in February (up 6 percent). CNN’s “American Morning” averaged 341,000 (down 32 percent) to MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” 340,000 viewers (down 22 percent), according to a news release.
