Former QB Troy Aikman on next “Dancing With the Stars”?

ABC will announce the next cast of “Dancing With the Stars” on August 30 and rumors abound about who will be on the list.

  Former Dallas quarterback Troy Aikman told a gossip Web site that he was going on the show and then told the Dallas Morning News that he was just kidding.

Meanwhile, Reality TV Magazine reports that “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Teresa Giudice, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino from “Jersey Shore” and Bachelorette Ali Fedotowsky are possible contenders.

Today, RadarOnline is reporting that Mel Gibson’s ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva has been in “secret negotiations” to join the cast. The next round debuts Monday, Sept. 20 at 8 p.m. on ABC.

This item corrects an earlier post that said the cast would be announced on Aug. 2.
