Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback and ESPN football analyst Shaun King has joined Bright House Sports Network, the network announced Thursday.
A 1995 graduate of Gibbs High School in St. Petersburg, King will be an analyst for the network’s high school, college and pro football coverage. King will also contribute to the network’s daily sports shows, “The Lineup” and “Toyota Sports Connection.”

King played college football at Tulane University, leading the Green Wave to an undefeated season in 1998 and a victory in the Liberty Bowl. He finished 10th in the Heisman Trophy voting.
King, 32, was drafted in the second round by the Bucs in 1999 and became starting quarterback midway through his rookie season, when led Tampa Bay to a division title and the NFC Championship Game.
In 2000, King led the Bucs to another playoff berth and was a backup on the 2002 team that won Super Bowl XXXVII.
He also had a brief stint with the Arizona Cardinals in 2004. After leaving the NFL, King played for the Arena Football League’s Las Vegas Outlaws.
