It’s a rumor that sounds too weird to be true. Farrah Fawcett, Michael Jackson and Ed McMahon never appeared together on the “Tonight” show.
This one is spreading through cyberspace. And it’s probably being fueled by the myth that celebrities die in threes.
Supposedly, Fawcett, Jackson and McMahon were on Johnny Carson’s couch on Sept. 18, 1979.
But that can’t be true. Jacko never appeared with Farrah Fawcett on the show. In fact, he never appeared on the “Tonight Show” after the Jackson 5 days, according to the guest database.
And apparently Carson didn’t do a show that night.
The late Fawcett was a Carson guest six times, once with lover Ryan O’Neal.
