It’s essentially summer and I want to start wearing skirts again. But alas, I cannot.
Not because I have hairy legs. But because I am virtually tatooed with large round bruises on my shins.
It’s a little unattractive… Plus people are always like “OHMYGAWD! What happened to you?”
Except the other parents at the softball field. They know exactly what happened.
Both my daughters are seriously into softball. And now they stepped it up a notch by wanting to train to be pitchers.
Pitchers need catchers and that’s where I come in. Hence the bruising.
But they also like to work on their hitting and there is NO WAY I am standing in front of them when they whack that ball. That’s why we need:
- Hit Master - 7235 W. Hillls. Ave. Tampa - $1 for 12 pitches | $25 for half an hour. Offers both slow and fastpitch softball and baseball pitches.
- Hitting Zone - 8328 N. Florida Ave. Tampa - $1 for 12 pitches | $15 for half an hour. Offers all type of pitches. Hitting Zone - 7815 N Dale Mabry Tampa - ” ”
- Malibu Grand Prix - 14320 N. Nebraska Ave. Tampa - $2 for 25 pitches | $17 for half an hour (300 pitches) | $25 for an hour (600 pitches)
The Celebration Station locations in Brandon and Clearwater also offer batting cages. But a cautionary note, they also have attractive nuisances like arcade games, go-karts and ice cream. So does Malibu Grand Prix. Those things quickly turn a Free & Cheap outing into an expensive affair.
